In all classes you can expect to move. A lot. And breathe. A lot. The room is heated. I almost always play music. Laughing and falling over are highly encouraged. I encourage students to approach all postures, difficult and easy, in the same way: with a gentle smile and a deep breath.
I teach at TriYoga in Primrose Hill
every Sunday night from 7 - 8:15, and every Monday night from 8 - 9:30, near the Chalk Farm Tube stop. Both classes are suitable for beginners, but quite vigorous and may not be appropriate for everyone. Monday night is a bit more intense, mostly because it is fifteen minutes longer! I heat the room, and encourage everyone to get sweaty. Very sweaty if possible.
I will be teaching two classes at TriYoga in Chelsea
On Thursday nights
The 6:15 - 7:30 pm class will be geared toward beginning yoga students, but will still be a challenge for most. I will demonstrate almost everything, and we will move through the poses a bit (just a bit though) more slowly.
The 7:45 - 9:15 pm class will be decidedly more intense, and is not recommended for the absolute beginner. I'll demonstrate fewer poses, and give more adjustments.
and one on alternating Saturdays from 2:30 - 4:30 pm. I will be switching Saturdays with another amazing teacher, Mollie McClelland, the schedule will be available here and on the TriYoga website. This class is definitely not for absolute beginners, and a willingness to approach challenging postures is a must. Students will have the opportunity to work deeply into more advanced asana, inversions, arm balances and backbends, while still in the dynamic flow of a class environment, as well as to spend some time on chanting, meditation and pranayama. Amme is teaching on 18 February, 3 March, 10 March
Workshop, Friday 30 March at TriYoga Primrose Hill, 7:30 - 9:30 pm
light your fire: a strong vinyasa workshop
This strong vinyasa flow workshop is designed to wake up the body and calm the mind. Find the energy of the spring time sun as we move through many and varied asana. Ignite your inner fire with lots of core strengthening, find joy in arm balances, open the heart with backbends, and release creative energy from the hips. Get on your mat and shake off the winter blues.
This workshop is open to all levels, but some previous yoga experience is strongly recommended. Join in simply for the fun of trying. All you need is a playful, inquisitive attitude along with a sense of self-observation and investigation. Don’t worry about whether or not you’re physically strong enough, just 'do your practice and all is coming' – Sri K. Pattabhi Jois.
See the TriYoga website for class prices.

One on one, or small group sessions can vary widely. All will include some movement, as well as passive and active adjustments. Depending on the desires of the client, sessions can range from gentle movement (Hatha yoga), to vigorous asana (Vinyasa, Power, or Ashtanga), using hands-on physical adjustments to guide the body into it's optimum position for self-healing. At the request of the client, sessions can also include chanting, guided relaxation, and meditation. Pre and post natal practitioners are welcome.
1.5 hour private sessions at the Gallery Soho can be scheduled between 7 and 10 am, Monday - Friday. Each session is 85 pounds. At home sessions, and weekends can be arranged.
Class at the Gallery Soho is off until the new year. I was hoping to start up sooner, but my two little ones are the priority right now. :) Sign up on the contact us page and you'll updated about yoga at the Gallery Soho, and when I am covering classes.
I teach class on Tuesdays from 7:00 - 8:15 pm at the Gallery Soho, located at 125 Charing Cross Road (entrance is next to Soho Books), near the Tottenham Court Road Tube stop. This class is somewhat un-traditional vinyasa flow. It's a small class, so it's tailored to who's there, and since there's nowhere to hide you get lots of attention!
The space reminds me of my favorite yoga studio in San Francisco, the first It's Yoga, run by my all time favorite teacher, Larry Schultz. Back then, it was just a room and a bathroom. No decorations, nothing fancy, just yoga.
The room is heated to about 23 C, is lit with candles, and the music is always on. Class is 10 pounds per session.
